Various walks from Easy to Medium in difficulty

This is a walk full of interesting ruins to find along the way.

From Well lane continue up hill through the forest on a good track, our first trip we took the metal gate route and went via the waterfall off trail through a muddy track which was fun.

The ruins appear either side of the track, but best to go off track here to explore the ruins in depth.

There is various paths to follow, we use OS maps to plot our routes.

🥾For a gentle pram friendly walk, head to the play ground, walk through the play ground and follow the level path through the forest, this leads all the way to white coppice waterfalls, return the same way for a shorter walk which is approx. 3 mile return.

🥾For Hatch Brook waterfall head up the road where you park and take the first gate on your right, this leads through the forest and to the waterfall on uneven and boggy ground, you need to cross the waterfall to get a closer look, you can cross the waterfall at the lower river section and go through the forest to the main path which leads to the ruins. It is very muddy until you pick up the main route.

🥾For the ruins ignore the first gate leading to the waterfall and take the next  turning on the right, this is a wide sold path that leads past the main ruins and cow shed, its approx. 1 mile along this path then you can take several routes, either to the left which is uphill to the summit or take the right path down to the lower path back to the car park.
