This was a great little walk with a couple of options depending on the length of the walk, you can also extend to include Derwentwater.

Even though this is the smallest it is still quite steep walking up to the summit on slate which in rain would be very slippery.

Great walk to keep kids entertained as plenty of rocks to scramble on, a memorial at the summit and a cave, you can even stop off at the stream and have a paddle along the way.

🥾Leave the car park, turning right onto the road. Follow the road through the village. Take your first right through the gate onto a track.

🥾 Now you can either go through the gate on your left and uphill or take the path to the right if your doing the circular either way is fine, if you want a quicker walk take the path through the gate. The path to the right take you the longer way round but path the cave.

Check on the route on the National trust page or the shorter walk below
