LANCASHIRE'S  HIGHEST COUNTY TOP

PARKING-Just before Leck fell house, parking LA6 2JP  nearest post code, its a long road from Ireby but just before the farm you will see parking.

MILES- 4-5 miles approx

ASCENT-350m approx

FACILITIES- No facilities on route

🥾Continue from the car park  up to the end of the tarmac road just before Leck fell House and  Go through the  gate on the right side  on a green lane/track.

You can walk up the right hand side hill at any point as it leads to the cairns, we carried on this path a little more then found a faint path up to the stones/cairns, it is steep but not for long. You go through a big boulder field but  Soon reach the three cairns known as The Three Men of Gragareth.

We stopped here and the kids enjoyed the rocks to climb on and take photos.

From here a more obvious path leads up gentler slopes heading towards the trig point, we had clear weather so could just make out the paths, in poor visibility it would be difficult without a map/compass.

We continued ascent up to the summit and took some photos at the trig point before returning the same way, you can see the faint paths in the grass which are easy to follow, I can imagine in rain they get quite boggy.
