MILES-3 MILES approx

ASCENT-270m approx

FACILITIES- No facilities

This walk is a easy introduction to the forest of Bowland walks, but it can get very boggy.

From the car park we walked away from the tower in the opposite direction to the fell side, and followed  the path at the side of the fence from the car park uphill towards the  stones that are visible, this was a great place to stop and rest/snack as Ariya was only just 2 when she walked this.

We then  take the path off to the right that heads over Grit Fell, the route is easy to follow and only a short distance and you see the cairn in front of you.

Return the same way and see the great views over the Lancashire coast line
