TERRAIN- Can be very boggy, grass paths with  gentle gradients

This is a really easy walk, but can be very boggy even in the summer, you can normally walk around the boggy but be prepared in case little ones run ahead.

From the car park you will see the gate in front of you leading onto the moorland, once through the gate you follow the well trodden path straight ahead, you come to a cairn on your left which is the marker cairn for Jeffrey hill. From here the path follows straight ahead, you will see the forest and wall in front of you, this is the junction you are heading for.

At the wall  you turn left and you can either cross over or walk this side of the wall, both paths lead to the summit, the route is easy to follow in good weather, you just follow the wall until you see the cairn which has a tree growing out of it.

After a quick break we returned the same way.
