TERRAIN-It is easy walking on maintained paths throughout

During lockdown when we had to stay local to walk we came across the Lancashire coastal path, sometimes we take for granted our local area so this gave us a chance to explore closer to home.

We started at Lytham Windmill, the path is paved and wide so great for everyone. We popped to Lowther Pavilion for the toilets and lunch before we started, also has a picnic area and play ground.

The walk is fantastic, plenty of things to see along the way, parks for the kids on route and the beach to stop at, you can make a full day of it by stopping at the beach, the piers, play areas, various monuments too. If the kids do get tired along the route you can jump on the tram from star gate.
