PARKING-White moss car park  Ambleside LA22 9SE

MILES-3 mile return walk

FACILITIES- Toilets and sometimes ice cream van in the car park

TERRAIN-Good paths, some steep incline and steps

White moss car park has a small toilet block, also most days especially weekends and holidays has a ice cream van.

Picnic tables  and the river Rothay which is great for a paddle. You then cross the footbridge over the River Rothay,  follow the path through the woods, then an easy path takes you through idyllic scenery, at first along the shore of Rydal Water and then climbing gently to Loughrigg Terrace via a stone pitched path to the summit.

Great views across Grasmere, options to return the same way or follow the various routes off to make a circular walk so please check the map.

Our last visit we included Rydal caves which is worth visiting, mine loved running across the stepping stones into the cave.
