TERRAIN-Excellent terrain and easy walking

This is a fantastic walk suitable for everyone, with excellent paths and little inclines throughout.

You pass through Wye valley via the Chee Tor No. 1 (361m) and 2 tunnels (83m), Miller's Dale viaduct, Liton tunnel (472m) , Cressbrook tunnel (431m), Headstone viaduct, Headstone tunnel (487m)

Four of the longer tunnels are lit during daylight hours, dawn to dusk, to make them safe to use, but during the darker months the lights turn off around 4.30pm so torches are advised.

We parked at the station car park which is right by the trail, we always try and start walks that have a toilet close by, the trail was well sign posted, there is lots of bikes on the trail so care needed with little ones running ahead.

We explored the old kilns first and then headed through each of the tunnels before returning the same way.
