When we arrived it was quite busy around the Longshaw estate so we parked at surprise view, and walked down to Longshaw estate and Padley gorge. There are various rocky outcrops around the car park which are great to stop at, we crossed the road in front of the car park and followed the path down hill to longshaw estate where we got ice cream and stopped for the toilets before we followed the trail along Padley gorge, instead of returning the same way, we followed the signs for Bolehill quarry and made it a circular walk.
There was plenty of trees to climb, rocks to scramble on and streams to paddle in, in peak season it can get busy so recommend to arrive early or later in the day.
