ABOUT THE WALK

A little past the White Lion Hotel a minor road leads to Rooking and the start of the ascent, follow this road towards the path on the right, you will see the path along the fellside which leads up to On the path to Boredale Hause,

The path is easy to follow  in good weather, it is narrow in sections so care needed with children.

Once you reach the top of Boredale Hause , to the right is Angle Tarn and the path to the left is Place Fell, the path is a good path that starts rising steeper and turns into a stone pitched path to help erosion.

Looking along the summit ridge to the trig point from the top of the gully, the path is clear in good weather, some sections can get boggy, the trig point is in sight now for the final approach, it seemed a longer walk when we did it, not sure if thats because Ariya was not even 3 so we took it slower, but it is a great walk, pretty straight forward in clear weather and no scrambling or edges.
