FACILITIES- Toilets, cafe, play area and mini farm

TERRAIN-It is easy walking on maintained paths

apart from 2 sections of steps. There

are no stiles. but sometimes can be boggy.

Car park was Pay and display, well sign posted from the start, we walked through the gardens with sculptures and won to the path alongside the river Dee which then passes the first viaduct and in the distance you will see PONTCYSYLLTE AQUEDUCT in the distance. The path is easy to follow as it just winds along the river to the Aqueduct.

Once at the aqueduct you climb some steps to the top where there is toilets, a café,   and visitor centre, which also offers boat rides over the aqueduct.

The walk over is on a very narrow path which is hard when others come in the opposite direction, but well worth the walk to see the views down to the river.

You can return the same way or make it a circular using the maps on the website.
